Gozo Island is the most picturesque of the three, with quiet towns and beautiful beaches and is the perfect base from which to visit Malta.

It is located on Comino Island, the smallest of the three islands of Malta.

Popeye Village

Popeye Village was built as a movie set for the largely forgotten film starring Popeye. Robin Williams.

Today, actors in Popeye costumes still roam among the wooden buildings, but there’s plenty more to keep kids entertained.

These include water rides, boat rides, and Santa’s toy town, where Santa’s elves can be viewed as toys.

Adventure sports

Thrill addicts can overcome by participating in some extreme sports.

Children as well as adults can participate in a number of adventurous activities including speeding, free falling and swinging.

You’ll also get some great views while doing them – if you can dare open your eyes.

The trails around the Islands are designed for all levels – from beginner to advanced.

And it’s not just fish to see – divers can get up close to 2,700-year-old shipwrecks, World War I battleships and dozens of plane crash sites.

For those of you who want to get on the water, but aren’t ready for the full diving experience, there are plenty of water sports activities available.

Malta has warm water all year round, so there’s no need to bring a diving suit.

Activities include canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, all of which are a great way to explore Malta’s coastline and see some stunning views.
