Bradford Council said it opened the city’s leisure center to provide shelter to residents affected by the fire that has engulfed the entire listed building.
Firefighters have urged residents to keep windows and doors closed and not travel through the area because of the smoke.
The Victorian building is said to have been the largest textile mill in Yorkshire, employing around 2,000 workers.
It has been used as a filming location in the hit BBC series Peaky Blinders, as well as The Great Train Robbery, Downton Abbey and the 2016 film The Limehouse Golem starring Bill Nighy.
