12 countries recently relaxed Covid travel rules for Britons including Italy and Cyprus

Countries such as Canada, UAE, Spain, Greece and Australia have eased travel restrictions for UK travelers including Covid tests and vaccine regulations

Britons are getting a growing choice of holiday with many destinations having their Covid travel rules relaxed in recent weeks.

Holiday hotspots like Portugal, France, Greece and Italy have relaxed entry requirements around Covid testing and quarantine, while long-haul destinations like Canada, Sri Lanka and India is welcoming back vacationers.

More countries are also participating, including Vietnam reopened three months ago compared to the plan and New Zealand implemented phased reopening of its borders in the next few months.

1. Iceland

2. Italy

Italy kicked off March by relaxing regulations for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers.

As of March 1, anyone six years of age or older will need to present one of the following; proof of vaccination, negative PCR test performed within 48 hours prior to travel, rapid lateral flow test performed within 24 hours, or evidence of Covid recovery in six months via.

This means vaccinated Britons will no longer have to take a pre-travel test.

The country also changed the rules so that if you can meet the above criteria, you won’t be forced to self-isolate for five days on arrival even if you haven’t been vaccinated.

However, it should be noted that there are other requirements such as Super Green Pass required to access places like restaurants, museums, hotels and more.

3. Canada

6. Cyprus

Travelers who are fully vaccinated against Covid or have evidence of recovery will no longer have to undergo PCR or antigen testing prior to travel if they wish to visit Sri Lanka and see some the best places in the country. New rules effective this month.

Unvaccinated children 11 years of age and younger are allowed to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent. If a child under 18 years of age has received a dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before travelling, they will be considered ‘fully vaccinated’.

12. India







India has made it easier for Britons to plan vaccination trips
