16 & Pregnant star Jordan Cashmyer has passed away at the age of 26 as the former reality TV star’s cause of death is unknown.

News of the young mother’s passing broke on Sunday.

A medical examiner confirms the death of the former MTV star TMZ on Sunday.

However, the agency said no cause or manner of death has yet been provided.

Jordan’s father – Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr.- confirmed his daughter’s death in a Facebook Posted on Sunday morning.

Next to a black and white photo of Jordan, he wrote: “Last night I received a call that no parent wanted. My beloved eldest daughter Jordan passed away, she was only 26 years old.

“Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should go through the loss of a child, EVER.”

He continued: “Please keep my family’s prayers in mind as we work through this terrible tragedy.

“Please understand and respect our privacy at this time.

“We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, niece Lyla and family members.”

PAST

Jordan, her boyfriend, Derek Taylor, and daughter Evie appeared on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant in 2014.

The heartbreaking story of young parents is presented on the show, as they become homeless while Jordan prepares to give birth.

Her family disapproved of her relationship with Derek, which led to their denial that the teen was essentially pregnant.

While the couple did not continue to tell their story on one of the franchise’s spin-offs, they continued to struggle when it came to raising their daughter.

Jordan and Derek split after their appearance on 16 & Pregnant, while they were unable to properly care for their young daughter.

Jordan’s father and stepmother intervened and temporarily shared custody of their niece.

Then in 2015, Jordan finally signed a temporary deal with Derek’s mother.

According to TMZ, she was struggling with mental health issues, addiction and was contemplating suicide at the time.

Jordan later dealt with legal matters when she was working at a strip club and was arrested for drug possession in 2017.

ONE YEAR MONTH YEAR

However, Jordan seems to be taking care of his health and celebrates one year of sobriety in January 2021 after years of struggling with addiction.

She shared the news in a Facebook post, revealing a party is being held to celebrate the achievement.

Along with an event page inviting others to join the celebration, Jordan wrote: “My wonderful homegroup member made this great announcement for Friday, so for anyone not on the page alumni turn right, here’s the info for my anniversary.”

Jordan passed away a few years after his 16 year old friend & got pregnant Valerie Fairman passed away in 2016.

Former reality star found “unresponsive” in the bathroom of a friend’s house whom she visited in Pennsylvania, while she was later declared dead.

At the time, it was assumed that Valerie died of a drug overdose.

Her devastated mother, Janice Fairman, revealed Valerie went to rehab five times over the years, but always fell back.

The stars’ mother added that Valerie’s final time in rehab was just a few months before she died after she served time in prison for violating her probation.
