1st Central and Sussex CCC agree on a new three-year deal

Sussex has inked a new three-year naming rights deal with 1st Central at the County Ground.

The contract with the Sussex-based motor insurance company extends their association with the club to ten years.

1st Central, which has its headquarters on Haywards Heath, will now also sponsor the back of the Sussex D40 (disabled cricket team) and shirts for the visually impaired.

The extension of the partnership also provides continued support for annual charity events such as the Sussex Cricket Foundation’s DIScoverABILITY Day.

1st Central’s continued support comes as Sussex rehabilitates the south-west corner of the County Ground.

Chief Executive Rob Andrew said: “The extension is amazing news which will support our work to continue producing exciting young cricketers for Sussex and England.

“The investment by 1st Central has been a huge benefit to the cricket ground and players at all levels.”

The first renovation phase with a new pub, commercial offices and 37 apartments is to be opened by the start of the 2023 season.

Sussex are currently taking on Glamorgan in the final game of the 2022 season.
