2 Johnnies Announces 3Arena ‘Christmas Podcast Party’

2 Johnnies are the latest podcasters to set up their sites to fill 3 Arena, with the announcement that they will be hosting a “Christmas Podcast Party” at their Dublin location this December.

The funny couple started their hugely successful podcast in 2018 and have since grown their weekly followers to tens of thousands of listeners, while their YouTube channel has totaled over 40 million views. .

Announcing the December show, Johnny B and Johnny Smacks said: “Ireland’s new daily podcast, TV show, radio show, Liam Gallagher has denied the Mayo Curse, a historic Electric Picnic and The little problem of a Catfish named Cora. It’s been quite a year for the 2 Johnnies and they and their supporters deserve a party so the comeback match at 3Arena will be on. “

The event will take place at 3Arena on Saturday, December 10. Tickets cost €50.90 and go on sale on Ticketmaster this Friday, September 16th at 9am.

They added: “The two most recent live podcast shows have seen cash giveaways, Gavin James singing rebellious songs, a punch machine contest and the biggest bar ever taking place at the venues. Ireland’s largest site.

“This time, it’s a special Christmas Party with all the cast members from the Podcast plus music, craic, messy catfish and a pile of snow (actual snow).”

The duo hit the headlines earlier this year, first with their rocky start with their new gig on 2FM and then their hugely successful ‘GAA Catfish’ series.

Shortly after taking over the 2FM driving time position in February, presenters were called out for offensive material in a radio show promotional video in which they read examples of bumper stickers sex discrimination.

They were suspended from broadcasting for two weeks while RTÉ investigated the matter, but the national broadcaster trapped by the pair said they violated “social media guidelines” and apologized.

Meanwhile, Johnny B’s first account of being scammed by a woman running a fake social media account led to the ‘GAA Catfish’ series that went viral across the country during the summer.
