A HUGE £200 million new attraction with a surf lake, rope rink and man-made beach has announced their latest plans to open in the UK.
Eden Westwood, located on the M5 in Devon, will also include a shopping mall, food hall and hotel.
The new development will be divided into four zones, each with different attractions and amenities.
In addition, the 71-hectare site will be a visitor center, restaurants and cafes.
Visitors can get here from the M5 motorway, adjacent to intersection 27.
The resort, which has been in operation for six years, hopes to take the next step with a plan to invest in the area to raise “significant revenue,” according to local councilors.
Independent Councilor Bob Deed says it’s time to “put the brakes on development” add: “What it needs is a caucus interested in developing Intersection 27, if for no other reason, than that it will create jobs for the people of the district and income for Mid Devon.
“So I’d really like to seriously start a dialogue to do something about the 27th junction.”
Deputy chief executive Andrew Jarrett added: “It would be great for Mid Devon – and this is only from a financial perspective – if there is significant development of both of those motorway interchanges.
“I know there are always mixed feelings about the scale of economic growth in a beautiful rural area like the one we live in, but it has to be growth at the right time, in the right place.”
This is not the only new development planned for the UK over the next few years.
A £300 million attraction is open in Blackpool, with three giant indoor theme parks, live shows, and a number of games and shows.
ONE Huge new £250m spa and indoor water park will also open in the UK soon, with Manchester’s Therme set to open in 2023.
And the theme park dubbed the “Disneyland of the UK” recently announced plans to have a Game of Thrones-themed land.
