Lovely Archie Update

Harry gave a sweet update on his young son Archie, who is approaching his third birthday.

He talks about trying to work from home when Archie and his sister Lilibet are running around the house.

Harry admits: “This whole work-from-home job isn’t all, definitely post-COVID, because it’s really hard.

“But when your kids and you are in the same place, it’s hard to separate work from them because they overlap. So I mean Archie spends more time interrupting their Zoom calls. I.”

“But he also often puts us off, so that’s also a good thing,” he added.

Hoda then asks Archie if he shares his dad’s sense of boldness, and Harry proudly says he does.

He explained: “Yes, and I think so. I always try and keep it. I think, being bold is what keeps you alive.

Hoda also asked Harry what is his favorite thing about being a father.

And he said, “All of that. The chaos, the lessons, the reminder of every element of yourself, your soul, right?

“Archie at his age is asking all the questions. He’s always asking the why questions – he’s at the why, why this, why that stage.

“And instead of just trying to move on, I give him the most honest answer I can and then just keep iterating until he’s satisfied and that’s it.

“I love it, I love every part of it. I’ve always wanted to be a father and wanted kids of my own and now I have two young children that I’m responsible for.”

Queen is in ‘great form’ and he makes sure she’s protected

Harry spoke about his flight to the UK last week, confirming he and Meghan have met the Queen for tea.

He also said he was making sure she “had the right people around her”, a comment that has been heavily criticized.

He said: “It was great to be with her, it was great to see her, she was in great form.

“She always had a sense of humor for me and I just made sure she was protected and had the right people around her.

“Me and Meghan both had tea with her, so it was a pleasure to strike up a conversation with her.”

America is the home of the ‘now’

Harry sparked excitement that the Sussex family might one day return to the UK, describing America as their homeland “for now”.

The couple, who moved to Montecito, California, following their decision to step down as senior royals in 2020, say they want a new life of personal and financial freedom.

Last year, they bought a huge mansion with financial help from Charles.

“Home for me now, right now, is in the United States and it feels like that,” said Harry.

“We have been welcomed with open arms and have such a wonderful community in Santa Barbara.”

Plans for the year

During part of the interview, Harry was asked if he planned to return to the UK with his wife Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet for the Queen’s Platinum Year.

This year, the Queen celebrates her 70th year on the throne and a bountiful celebration weekend will take place in June.

When asked about his plans, Harry said: “I don’t know yet. There’s a lot of things: security issues and everything else.

“So this is what I’m trying to do, trying to make it possible, you know, I can let my kids see her.”

People always ask about Meghan

Following the interview, TV presenter Hoda gave an insight into the reception Harry and Meghan received at the Invictus Games – and it seems everyone is eager to see Meghan.

Hoda explained: “His wife was with him, but funny, he said that every time the athletes see him, they’re like ‘Where’s Meghan, where’s Meghan?”

“And he was like ‘who am I?”
