Actor Matt Lanter was rushed to hospital and required emergency surgery last week, his wife revealed.

The 90210 star’s partner Angela has revealed this week has been “the scariest of them all”. [her] life” and that Matt has been struggling since Tuesday.

Thankfully, she announced that he’s on the mend but that it’s an “uphill battle” and he’ll be in hospital for a while.

Sharing a black and white photo of her hand holding Matt’s, Angela wrote, “This week has been the scariest of my life.

“Thankfully he has started to turn the corner and is slowly making his way to recovery.

“Thank you all for your prayers, love and support. We are so grateful to the amazing nurses, they are the real heroes. We’re still up against an uphill battle and we’ll be in hospital for a while, so prayers are definitely still appreciated.”

Angela didn’t elaborate on Matt’s condition or the issue, but the couple’s friends and fans wished them well in the post.

One wrote: “So sorry to hear Ang. Sending your boys so much love. I pray for Matt’s speedy recovery. Let me know if there’s anything we can do.”

While another commented: “We are praying for Matt’s full and complete healing! And for peace to you and your little girl.”
