A busy person left a message on my car because I was legally parked on their street… they are total cowards

The parking ROW blew up after an angry driver allegedly left a note on another vehicle.

One person posted about this in a Facebook group that started the debate over residential street parking rights in Oadby, Leicester.

Their post on Spotted Oadby said: “Anyone who lives on the corner of Pelham and Regent Streets, if you have a parking problem, take it up with council.

“Don’t leave notes on people’s cars, especially if they don’t block the entrance.

“At least be a man enough to talk to that person directly instead of hiding behind a bill. Coward.”

In response, another complained that driving in the vicinity became dangerous because of the number of cars parked, Report Leicestershire Live.

They added that people who don’t live in the area should pay a new parking fee.

They said: “If you’ve parked your car at the corner, it’s very dangerous if you try to get off the road because you can’t see the street until you’re out on the good road.

“Perhaps you should pay for parking in the village instead of parking on a residential street.

“Perhaps the mailman can’t catch you if you leave your car there all day. Maybe you park at a dangerous angle that could affect both streets!”

However, other members think that what they are doing is completely legal because there is no restriction on parking in the vicinity.

One said: “Residents just think they own the road – and can tell people what to do.”

He appealed to non-residents parked elsewhere to shoot back: “I’ll leave a rocket, not a note! Bleeding geeks!

“Never been this bad until car parking fees were introduced!

“I’ll happily post as *** in a Jiffy bag through the car windows of people who park carelessly!

“It’s not that I left a note! I’d rather be a key scratcher.”

Another person with a similar opinion concurred: “My polite notes are written on the key, on the side of the car.

“On Spencer Street, we make every man and his dog park.”

Various developments have been made since Oadby and Wigston County Council introduced parking fees for their parking lots in both villages.
