A TECH expert has highlighted a way to catch anyone who is spying on your messages.
In a recent TikTok videotapesUser @Kaansanity showed how to automatically take a photo of anyone who opens the Messages app on iPhone.
By tinkering with your device settings, you can even set up your phone to email you photos of a caught snooper.
“If someone takes your phone and opens an app they shouldn’t be using, your phone will take a picture of them and email it to you” Kaansanity told his five million TikTok followers in a video posted March 12.
The trick involves Apple’s Shortcuts app, which comes pre-installed on all new iPhones and is also available on the App Store.
Introduced in 2018, this tool allows you to create custom actions or phrases to automate specific tasks on your device.
To create a Snoopy Shortcut, open Shortcut application and press Create personalized automation.
Fight Application and then select the app you want to protect, be it Messages, WhatsApp, Facebook or another service.
Next, tap More action and choose Camera > Take a photo.
From there, tap Return text highlighted in blue and change it to front camera. Turn off Show camera preview scroll bar.
Fight Next And off Ask before running.
You’ve now set your iPhone to take a photo every time the app opens, but you still need to tell the app to email it to you.
Light weight One more action and choose Letters > Send email. Light weight Recipient and enter your email address.
“Now whenever someone peeks into your text messages, your phone will take a picture of them and email it to you,” says Kaansanity.
This isn’t the first useful iPhone trick TickTocker has shared.
Last month, the influencer released a series of device settings that you can change to protect your mobile device from thieves.
This trick is designed to make sure that pickpockets or vandals can’t enable AirPlane Mode on your phone to hide it.
Here’s a trick crooks use to prevent you from seeing your iPhone’s location using Apple’s device tracking feature Find my feature.
“Let’s say your phone is stolen,” says Kaansanity.
“The thief will turn on Airplane Mode so you can’t see the location.”
Even without your iPhone Passcode, a good novice can enable this setting using the Control Center.
It’s a menu you can access from the lock screen, giving you instant access to useful controls.
Kaansanity explained how to block this easy solution in her video.
In your iPhone Settinggo Face ID and passcode And off Control Center.
This requires anyone using their mobile phone to enter the correct Face ID or Passcode to access the Control Center.
