We have many talented team members who recognize the importance of taking the time to listen carefully to customers and identifying early on how problems can be turned into value. I think that’s why we’ve managed to stay one step ahead in the competitive employee communications technology market.
How has the company developed in recent years?
Since its inception over seven years ago, Staffbase has grown not only into an established provider of the leading employee communications management platform, but also into an advocate for the internal communications industry. We’ve tried to create a vibrant community of internal communicators, giving those working in this space a chance to share ideas, offer advice and network.
Some examples of our work in this area are Comms-Unity, IC masterclasses and the annual VOICES conference. We also have a team of IC professionals at Staffbase who make sure they are part of these conversations, using their knowledge, insight and thought leadership to contribute to the evolution of the industry.
Rapid product development, agility and a willingness to be bold and take risks has enabled us to create a highly differentiated product that has led to growth in multiple global markets. For example, a few years ago we just expanded into the US, and now 51% of our customers are from North America.
However, the numbers are only part of the growth. Many people who have been with Staffbase for a long time are proud and excited about the opportunity for personal and professional growth within the company. Our team has proven dynamic and agile through many changes and growth over the years and it has been exciting to see team members tackling diverse challenges and thriving together with the company.
I can think of a number of examples of people who started in entry-level positions at Staffbase and used the company’s growth mindset to learn and build their careers here. That’s really great to see.
What can we expect from Staffbase in the future?
As the world continues to adapt to new ways of working, we will see corporate workforces become increasingly international and distributed. Effective communication will be more valuable than ever to connect and retain employees – something that has already become business critical amid the pandemic and the “Great Resignation”.
We will use our Series E funds to continue to scale internationally and strengthen our leadership in global employee communications. With ambitious product development plans, we are working to expand the platform to cover more important use cases to reach and engage employees. We’ll also be expanding our offering of SharePoint and Teams add-ons to support organizations that want to take back control of the employee experience in these tools and better leverage them for employee communications.
Our platform is constantly growing and expanding when it comes to tools that make the work of corporate communicators easier. In the coming months, we will add a new dashboard with personalized insights and at-a-glance task summaries, and enhance our planning and measurement tools for a consolidated view across channels. Employees using Staffbase can look forward to some exciting UX updates and engaging formats like live streaming.
