A conversation with Lydia Ofori, founder of the investment platform: Kreesibl

We are an innovative platform for individuals – primarily targeting millennials – who want to take charge of their journey to financial wellbeing. We help them by focusing on expanding their income streams through investments.

Kreesibl makes learning seamless and helps individuals invest with great insights while helping them stay on top of their financial wellbeing with easy-to-use tools.

Kreesibl has spent a lot of time and resources developing emotion-driven AI technologies that help pick the right industries before companies — while other platforms typically do the opposite. In this way, it evaluates the industries that are trending and in line with the development of national economies. Focusing on industries first helps lay a good foundation for an investment portfolio.

Because of this, Kreesibl makes a point of explaining what would seem very technical and intimidating to most people as simply as possible, using a medium most millennials can relate to.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

Ever since I was a little girl, my father has always told me to become an expert in what is my passion. He said there’s nothing worse than when someone talks about something they don’t know anything about. That has stuck with me ever since.

After graduating from university, I went through a number of professional qualifications needed to break into the industry. My personal tutor at university recommended the CFA charter to me, so I jumped straight into it after my master’s degree. But it took more than one attempt to pass each of the three levels required to earn a certificate. I was so determined to see it through to the end as there was – and still is – a huge shortage of women, let alone black women, in the industry.

I pondered my own experiences to figure out what I might do next: how do millennials approach investing, money management, and build wealth, but more importantly, what challenges are preventing them from achieving that state of complete financial well-being reach?”

I have recognized how quickly Millennials are turning to self-investment to diversify their income for optimal financial prosperity, but I have been extremely concerned that not enough is being done to provide tools to help Millennials to make the right decisions. Therefore, most people’s processing and understanding appear like a dart in the dark.

How has the company performed during the pandemic?

We developed the core setiniment-driven AI technologies of sense 2020 and finally launched Kreesibl in January 2022 while the pandemic was an accelerator for this. It forced people to take control of their financial situation while realizing that they had the power to change their lives.

As investing has become much less of a taboo subject in recent years, Kreesibl helps people make the right decisions.

What can we expect from Kreesibl in the future?

My goal is to create a social aspect that revolves around finance – chatting with family and friends about investing. I want to make this nation one that is not afraid to discuss money. And the key is accessibility. I am determined to level the playing field and give everyone a fair chance to improve. With education and the right resources, anyone can achieve this.
