A driver called me to use a 1 hour lot for 25 minutes – I have a very good reason why

A WOMAN was left in shock after a driver called her about being allowed to use an hour-long parking space for 25 minutes.
The majority of people in the comments think the woman shouldn’t have left the parking spot.
The pregnant woman was called entitled and selfish by another driver after she decided to have lunch in her parked car.
Apparently the parking lot was empty and the other driver didn’t understand that she was eating.

user @HungryPerson wrote a post on Mumsnet to get people’s opinions.
The post is titled: ‘To use (a little) free parking space to sit in the car and eat.’
The woman told the post: “I have several appointments today so I’m in a bit of a rush with a few gaps.
“I drove to an appointment (in the city center, no dedicated parking lot for the place I’m going to) and parked in a city center lot.
“The parking lot has some spaces that are free for an hour, so I used one of them.
“My appointment was only 10 minutes, so I took the opportunity to buy a sandwich, went back to my car and sat there to eat it.
“In order not to drip, I’m pregnant and I’m hungry! I don’t know if that matters.
“It’s also freezing so I didn’t want to sit there even though there was a bench outside.
As she ate, an angry woman knocked on her window.
“I opened the door and she asked me to change. I looked around and there were no more seats and she was waiting for mine.
“I apologized and said I’d be done in a minute.
The angry woman then said: “Absolutely ridiculous.”
The Mumsnet user replied: “Excuse me?”
“She berated me for a minute or two, essentially that I’m selfish and entitled.
“I didn’t say anything, just looked at her and closed the door behind her, and then I left. I sat in the car for no more than ten minutes.”
The Mumsnet user was only in the room for 25 minutes and sat on a different bench to finish her meal.
She asked people, “Have I been unreasonable?”
Most people are in the comments on the Mumsnet users side.
One said: “Why on earth did you move?
“From what she knew, you were waiting/just there for someone and about to leave your car.”

Another said: “Not unreasonable. You can do whatever you want while your car is there IMO.
“I would have sat there and ignored her and probably found a few more things to do.”
