
A man has appeared at Omagh Magistrates’ Court accused of being in possession of a hammer and attempting to commit grievous bodily harm at the Lough Erne resort in Enniskillen.
The incident happened at a conference organized by the Irish National Party.
Two people were treated for their injuries at the scene and four others were taken to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
Daniel Comerforde, 34, of Mic Uilliam Heights in Dublin has been charged with criminally damaging a glass door at Lough Erne Golf Resort, possession of an offensive weapon, namely a hammer, with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, attempted grievous bodily harm and affair.
The alleged offenses relate to an altercation on Lough Shore Road in Enniskillen on Sunday November 13th.
The accused appeared in Omagh Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
A defense attorney said he was unable to apply for bail.
Comerforde was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned to a court session on Friday, where the 34-year-old will be produced via video link for an application for bail.
