A LUCKY driver crashed his brand new £250,000 supercar the same day he bought it.
The Ferrari 488 had only covered two miles before being involved in a serious collision derbies earlier today.
Photos show the vehicle visibly wrinkled at the front with some scratches above.
The unnamed driver suffered no injuries.
The Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit wrote on Twitter: “The driver bought a Ferrari this morning and crashed it after driving it less than 2 miles. No injuries.”
One user replied: “OH NO!! Wounded,” before a second added, “You would be absolutely devastated.”
A third joked: “I assume it because the car is facing the wrong way. Did he step on the gas a little too much?”
Others were just as stunned at how the driver damaged his expensive car in such a short time.
One wrote: “What on earth has he done? Does he even have a driver’s license?”
A second added: “How embarrassed would you be? This will require some repairs.”
While a third wrote: “Good to hear no injuries but maybe too much power for this rider and looks like he’s the April Fool’s joke of an accident.”
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “East Midlands Ambulance Service alerted us to reports of a collision on St Alkmund’s Way, Derby, just before 11am today.
“The car was parked off the road and the driver arranged for his own recovery.
“The driver has not been arrested or charged with any crime.”
