A man found dead near Hotel Monaghan suffered “unexplained” head injuries, Gardaí say

The state pathologist has performed an autopsy on the body of a man found dead outside a building in Co Monaghan.

ardaí in Carrickmacross are continuing to investigate the discovery Tuesday morning of a man’s body at the site of a property on Kingscourt Road in Lossets, Co. Monaghan.

The discovery was made at 8am on Tuesday and Gardaí have confirmed that the deceased suffered a head injury.

A Garda spokesman said that the body of the deceased was from the state pathologist Dr. Heidi Okkers an autopsy has been carried out.

“The results of the autopsy will not be released for operational purposes. The man suffered a head injury, the circumstances of which are currently unclear,” said the spokesman.
