A man who went viral after sharing his bizarre dinners on Instagram ended up in hospital with stomach problems.

Jason Jovanovic, 43, became an overnight sensation after releasing his mishmash dishes including fish with bread and beans, ravioli with Yorkshire pudding and pork chops or chili con carne, fish fingers and chips.

But the customer assistant at Bonkers Competitions of Sheffield, South Yorks, is now facing surgery on his gallbladder after contracting an infection from food poisoning two months ago.

Jason claims he will show doctors his Instagram to see if his diet of “processed and fatty foods” has contributed to his ill health.

He told The Mirror: “I will show the doctor my account so he can see my diet and ask him if the fatty foods contributed to it.

“Most likely they have. I’ve lost almost a stone in weight and I’m in a lot of pain.

“People on my Instagram have been really nice, a lot of people have reached out to ask me if I’m okay.”

Last month, Jason told the Mirror he “don’t understand the fuss” surrounding his meals, which has garnered him a following of 35,000 fans on Instagram.

The kitchen-shy single also admitted he’s “never been good” at cooking and prefers to whip up something quick and convenient after work.

He said, “I usually just make something out of what I have in the closets and can rip together after work.”

But despite his stomach issues, Jason insists his Instagram account is not in jeopardy as he still won’t learn to cook.

Instead, he claimed, “I can’t see myself actually cooking or learning to cook anything.

“I think I’ll just try to find something healthy to pop in the microwave.”
