A new limited-time Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl distribution event has begun

It’s April, and that means Pokémon Trainers can now befriend the mythical Darkrai in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

To do this, you must purchase the Member Card item that will be given out as a gift between April 1st and May 1st. To purchase this item, select Obtain from the Internet under the Mystery Gift option in Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. Once that’s done, you’ll need to meet certain conditions – like entering the Hall of Fame or obtaining the National Pokédex.

Once you’ve done that, travel to Newmoon Island where the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai awaits.

This distribution event was originally announced alongside the Arceus encounter:

“Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl Players must a Pokémon Legends: Arceus Save file on their Nintendo Switch system with all completed main missions. You can then get the Azure Flute item. After entering the Hall of Fame and obtaining the National Pokédex, players can head to the Spear Pillar entrance and the Mythical Pokémon Arceus will reveal itself.”
