If you wear perfume or cologne regularly, chances are you have a favorite scent that you buy every time you need to replace your stash.

But did you know that your favorite scent could tell people something about your personality?

According to staff at The Perfume Shop, Brits who prefer certain fragrances often fall into the same categories, with similar types of people gravitating towards the same branded bottle over and over again.

So what does your favorite say about you?

In a video on TikTok, The Perfume Shop’s Nottingham branch shared a list of their most popular perfumes and gave a brief description of the type of person who most often picks up each perfume.

For example, if you’re normally drawn to Yves Saint Laurent’s Black Opium, then The Perfume Shop – who posted the video on theirs @tpsclumberstreet Account – thinks you’re going for “the safest option”.

They said, “Maybe a little overrated, but it’s still good.”

Mugler’s popular Alien perfume has been branded as the scent that gets people not to shut up, as the commentary told lovers of that scent, “Okay, we get it – you like this one!”

Next came the bright pink teddy bear bottle, which houses Moschino Toy 2, which smells like bubble gum and dries to the aroma of roses.

Employees remarked, “This may not be for everyone. But it’s yours – and you’re totally relaxed about it.”

Carolina Herrera’s Very Good Girl was considered the fragrance for those with a high sex drive, while Calvin Klein’s Eternity for Women was branded a classic, loved the most by the elderly among us.

“You like the classics,” the video says, “you’re old. You are really old.”

But if Versace Eros is your thing, the perfumery staff have bad news — as apparently it means you’re being overbearing.

They said, “You’re a presumptuous hipster.”

Little positive was also said of Lacoste Red, which was seen as a “phase” that people “grow out of when you grow up”, while staff claimed Hugo Boss Bottled is a fragrance for those who “never will grow”. high”.

However, if you’re a fan of Carolina Herrera’s Bad Boy, that means you’re “cool” and the staff at The Perfume Shop “like you” — although they want to be “friends for life” when you decide on a bottle Gentleman by Givenchy on.

Towards the end of the video, the staff listed the perfume that never seems to be anyone’s favorite, as they outed Aramis as one of the least-loved perfumes they sell.

They said, “If you chose this one, you are a liar.

But on the other end of the scale, if your favorite fragrance is Libre by Yves Saint Laurent, The Perfume Shop believes you’ve made the right decision.

“If you chose this one,” the video concluded, “you’re right. This is the best.”
