A tearful Adele on FaceTimes leaves fans in shock after canceling gigs

Last night, some Adele fans were intrigued when the FaceTimed singer apologized for canceling her Las Vegas residency last minute.
Hundreds of people flocked to Caesars Palace for what was supposed to be opening night after shooting out thousands and fly into the Sin City.
Tickets to the British star – whose hits include Chasing Pavements and Hello – have sold for up to £20,000.
But in a tearful video, Adele said 24 gigs, jointly called Weekends with Adele, were successful because Covid hit her backstage team.
Instead, one’s mother called several fans to say sorry, give them free drink cards and encourage them to make purchases from the pop-up store.
Speaking to one, the tearful star said: “I love you too, I’m so sorry and I can’t wait to meet you. Get your free bag – and you’re not old enough to drink, so you can’t have that free drink token.
“You’re too young… Grab your freeware and chat with anyone. Ask anyone on my team anything about the show, ask them anything about me, about the show.
“I designed that score myself, I poured my blood and the f**king sweated and cried in it. So just good luck to all the fans and I’m really sorry and really nice to see you both.
“And I really, really like to bow down to two friends my age. Please thank your mother from me. ”
In another call, she said: “I’m letting myself be sad. I feel very happy to see you all there. People keep calling me. Where do you come from? I love New York. I’m really sorry I wasn’t there.
“In the meantime, I can be with my son and with Rich. Have you seen the dresses and furniture? ”
Tickets to the show cost $85 and Adele-branded jumpsuits are on sale for around $100 (£73).
In an Instagram message, she wrote to a fan: “James, I’m Adele! I’m really very sorry. If you’re still here at 6pm, my shop in the middle of Caesars casino, just outside the entrance to the Colosseum, is still open. “
Adele later said she had “the best fans in the world” and thanked them for their support as she acknowledged the “benevolence and love” she showed in response to the regrettable decision. .
“I have the best fans in the world!” she writes.
“Your kindness and love is overflowing tonight! Thank you.”
Adele released her fourth album 30 in early November, and her Las Vegas residency will begin at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Hotel on January 21.
