A teenager chasing Elon Musk’s jet has found Mark Zuckerberg’s new plane

THE US teenager who twirls the feathers of billionaires by chasing their private jets says he’s located Mark Zuckerberg’s plane.
Jack Sweeney said on Wednesday that a Twitter account he created to monitor the whereabouts of the plane is now “perfectly accurate”.
He shared a picture of the jet on his personal account.
The 19-year-old made his name after Elon Musk offered him $5,000 to shut down an account tracking his jet in January.
In Twitter messages to Sweeney, the Tesla boss expressed concern that “some weirdo” might shoot him out of the sky.
The youngster turned down Musk’s offer. He uses data from public flight records to run accounts that keep tabs on the likes of Musk, Bill Gates, and Jeff Bezos.
Sweeney’s @ZuccJet account, which follows Zuck’s jet, was set up in February and has 7,000 followers.
In April, the techie said he had learned the plane was no longer being used by the Facebook founder.
He said on Twitter that he’s since been able to pin down the flight number of the latest jet based on his travel history and Zuck’s travels.
Meta, the company that owns Facebook, said in a recent regulatory filing that it chartered a new jet for its CEO in March.
The company reportedly spent $26.8 million on Zuckerberg’s security and private jet travel in 2021.
His company pays bodyguards around the clock and has installed bulletproof glass and a panic button in his office in Menlo Park, California.
MUSK NOT IMPRESSED
Musk wasn’t impressed when he found out that a 19-year-old had developed a Twitter bot to track his private jet’s movements.
In late January, Protocol reported that Musk sent the teen a direct message asking him to delete the account, branding it a “security risk.”
Sweeney replied, “Yes I can, but it’ll cost you a Model 3, just kidding, unless?”
After a few messages back and forth, Musk asked how much Sweeney made running the account.
When he revealed he wasn’t making more than $20 a month doing it, the richest man in the world made an offer of $5,000 to delete the account.
The teenager pushed for more and ended up demanding an extra zero.
“Any chance of bumping that up to $50,000?” he said.

“It would be a great asset in college and potentially allow me to get a car, maybe even a Model 3.”
Musk replied that he would think about it, but Sweeney never heard from the billionaire again.
