The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is just around the corner – and some people have gone all out in preparation for a festive weekend of decorations.
A cunning Briton managed to pair the Queen with Sir Alex Ferguson in her office – and claimed no one noticed.
A screenshot of a WhatsApp group chat by Reddit user Sankey2007 showed a message they sent to their friends explaining what they had done.
“My office wants us to decorate our desks for the anniversary. I put up photos of the Queen’s face swapped with Alex Ferguson. No one has noticed until now,” they wrote.
The hilarious act was well received by people on social media after being shared by @NoContextBrits, and many on Twitter commented on the genius.

One person wrote: “It would take me a long time to understand. Brilliant.”
“I have to admit I didn’t realize it,” wrote a second.
A third added: “To be fair I’ve never seen the two of them in the same room together…”
Another quipped, “Here Liz chopped off his head and stole his face.”
It was the Queen who knighted Sir Alex in 1999.
“The Queen has told me she doesn’t think it will ever be achieved again and she’s right,” Sir Alex revealed afterwards.
“It’s such a proud moment for me, my family and the club because it’s a team effort.” They also chatted about their shared love of horse racing.
This weekend, the Queen celebrates her 70th anniversary.
She said: “Thank you to everyone involved in bringing communities, families, neighbors and friends together to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee in the UK and across the Commonwealth.
“I know that these festive occasions will create many fond memories.
“I remain inspired by the goodwill shown to me and hope that the coming days will provide an opportunity to look back on all that has been achieved over the last seventy years, as we look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm.”
