A young man was found ‘evaporated’ in a car with his girlfriend banned from driving after crashing into another car

A YOUNG man spotted in a “rushed” car with his girlfriend crashed into another car before being stopped by the gardai.

Christopher Dalton was given a two-year driving ban when he appeared in a court in Co Donegal after the “wet” incident.

Gardai revealed that the 23-year-old was parked in his classic car on Main Street in Letterkenny on June 20, 2020.

However, he sped away, hitting another vehicle but was unable to stop.

He was tracked by a third party, who reported the incident to Gardai.

After checking the incident on CCTV, Gardai spoke to Braghy’s Dalton, Ramelton, who admitted to the incident.

His attorney, Mr. Donough Cleary told court that his client was “in the company of a woman” and that their car windows had evaporated.

Judge Alan Mitchell replied: “We won’t say anything more.”

He added: “Didn’t he blame condensation on the car?”

Mr. Cleary admitted his customer had grazed another car and was very apologetic about what had happened.

He added that his client sold the car and then went to Florida to take up a job as a waiter.

Dalton was banned from control for two years for driving without insurance and fined 150€.

He was also fined €100 for driving without a license and another €100 for not staying at the scene.

Two charges of attack and run were considered.
