The police continue to investigate the death of a motorcyclist after an accident in March.

Daniel Kinsella, from Brighton, died at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on Wednesday March 16 after the crash on the A259 at Portslade.

Despite the efforts of bystanders who performed CPR, the 25-year-old died of his injuries two days later.

On Wednesday, Assistant Coroner Alicia Keen at the Brighton and Hove City Coroner opened the inquest into Daniel’s death but stayed it until March 21, 2023 while the police investigation continues.

After his death, tributes poured out for the popular biker.

Tom Nash said he lost his best friend and a “beloved staple of many of our lives,” while Nicci Parish said Daniel’s death was “cruel, evil and so damn unfair.”

Alex Tooth added, “You were such a bright light in this world and I know you will continue to shine bright in the stars.”

Dan’s employers, Wemoto Motorcycle Parts, said they were saddened to have lost a “valued employee and good friend.”

“To the whole community, please be safe out there. Rest in peace Dan. With love from the Wemoto team,” they said.
