Aberdeen and Celtic hero Scott Brown misses out on Fifa Fair Play awards

SCOTT BROWN missed out on the 2021 Fifa Fair Play award after it was presented to the Denmark national team and the team’s medical staff.
Before Celtic captain was nominated for gong for his gesture of solidarity with Rangers star Glen Kamara.
The Finland international was racially abused by Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela during their Europa League clash last season.
And before the old Firm’s game just a few days later, Brown is seen placing his arms around Kamara like both Celtic and Rangers‘players heat up.
Veteran midfielder, currently in Aberdeen, was subsequently nominated for Fifa’s Fair Play award along with the Denmark national team and their medical staff, and Claudio Ranieri.
However, at a ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland, tonight, however, Brown ultimately missed winning the gong due to it being given to the Danes.
The combined efforts of the players and their medical team ultimately saved Christian Eriksen’s life after he suffered a cardiac arrest during their clash with Finland at Euro 2020.
His teammates formed a circle around him to shield him from the camera while doctors immediately began performing CPR.

Miraculously, Eriksen was resurrected and was able to continue his recovery in the hospital despite his recent revelation that he had DEAD for five minutes at that time.
The former Tottenham star opened up about the incident in a candid interview with Danish TV channel DR 1 in the first day of this month.
“It is surprising how many people feel the need to write letters or send flowers,” he said.

“It has had an impact on so many people and they felt the need to let me and my family know. It made me very happy.
“At the hospital, they kept saying I would get more and more flowers.
“It’s weird because I didn’t expect people to send flowers – because I was dead for five minutes.

“It’s quite an extraordinary thing, but the people are so nice and I’ve been a big help getting all the best wishes.
“And people still write to me.”
