We hope for a miracle, that justice will prevail. In the gloom, a diminutive, pale and unshaven former comedian appeals to the world’s conscience.
Military power, men and machines, is squeezing more than Ukraine. Before long, the army and people of the whole country will have to fight to maintain a great final position.

Feelings of injustice and injustice have stirred millions of people, but this conflict also revives an old, almost forgotten truth: Russia under a leader like Vladimir Putin will commit mass murder. to get his way.

During World War II, 27 million Russians paid the ultimate price. It speaks of a wave of human suffering, a wound that never heals.
He belongs to the generation that has subjugation of Russia’s neighbors and control of ‘near foreign’, worth any suffering to preserve the Russian people Empire.
And so “blood and iron” and the brutality of uncompromising military might are at the heart of his argument by viciously bringing the Ukrainians to their heels.
The fact that he has been in power for so long – supposedly quarantined, introverted and brooding because of the pandemic – makes him a particularly unpredictable adversary. What can he do next?
We heard about his temper tantrums when initial plans for a flash race through Ukraine fell through.
The bravery and valor of the Ukrainians, forged by their own dark and troubled past, is incomprehensible to millions of Europeans after the fortunes of the war on TV. The country’s location means that Ukraine has long been a rift between Europe and Asia.
Russian speakers in some lands east of it look to their native country, but most look to the west.
Their dream is to be in the European Union, with Nato’s soft blanket protecting them from Russian aggression.
While the thunder of battle continues, Putin’s machine is a classic example of the law of unintended consequences.
Fear of the future bound European countries overnight on military affairs, which were unthinkable before this invasion began.
To inflict such terror without provocation challenged the psyche of an entire continent.
Germany, one of the countries with the greatest change in post-World War II Europe, is abandoning a pacifist approach to military affairs.
Fear that Putin’s darkest intentions will cause military spending to skyrocket.
Countries like Finland and Sweden, which have traditionally advocated narrow neutrality lines, have grown fearful.
Should they join the Nato alliance to protect against an unknown future? Even in this country, some old certainties are gone.
And so we will win against Volodymyr Zelensky and his men. “Prove that you won’t let us go,” he begged in a speech to the EU from one of Ukraine’s deepest bunkers.
His words floated through the consciousness of a continent. There are harbingers of what is beyond the horizon.
The EU and Nato will do much to ease his burden – but there is a line they will not cross. Soldiers from other countries will not fight the Ukrainians in the trenches.
In that sense, Zelensky is his own. Those who wanted to help him further accepted that a nuclear war was not allowed.
