AC Milan introduces NFT collection, Magic Eden accepts Solana projects tokens and more

Italian professional soccer club AC Milan, in partnership with crypto exchange BitMEX, will release its first-ever non-fungible token (NFT) project, with proceeds going to Fondazione Milan, the club’s charity arm.

The limited edition collection will include 75,817 NFTs, a number representative of the capacity of the club’s San Siro stadium, and will feature a 3D image of a shirt taken in South Sudan by Danish war photographer Jan Grarup, who was in the country has found widespread flooding last December.

Magic Eden accepts tokens from DeGods and Aurory projects

Magic Eden, the largest marketplace for Solana (SOL) NFTs by volume according to DappRadar, has confirmed that it will accept the tokens from the popular Solana NFT projects, DeGod’s DUST and Aurory’s AURY in the coming weeks.

The marketplace first teased the integration of the DUST token in late March, tweeting “brb integration $DUST” on March 31. On April 1st, a drawing of a Magic Eden themed bar was tweeted with the caption “$AURY.”

DeGods is the most traded collection in 30 days on Magic Eden by its own stats and has an all-time trading volume on the platform of 307,121 SOL or $33.8 million. Aurory ranks third in sales volume for a Solana NFT project with an all-time worth of $79.5 million, according to DappRadar.

The integration of the tokens could be the platform’s latest attempt to solidify itself as Solana’s native NFT marketplace after OpenSea announced it would integrate Solana, which would put the two platforms in direct competition.
