When it comes to choosing between chocolate and sex, many Brits seem to prefer the sweet treat…
According to a survey, one in five would rather have a dairy milk than a nookie.
And teens are even crazier about chocolate, with a surprising quarter of 18-29 year olds choosing a bar over sex.
The study was conducted by the insights agency Perspectus Global. Spokesman Jon Horsley said: “It’s fascinating to see that for Gen Z, a bar of chocolate is preferable to a bun in the hay, and the older you get, the more likely you are to prefer bedroom antics to a sweet treat.”
The results came to light during a poll to find the nation’s number one chocolate bar.
And Dairy Milk was crowned the winner, followed by Galaxy. Twirl, Wispa, KitKat, and Crunchie made the top 10, but KitKat and Mars Bar never, finishing 13th and 14th, respectively.
Three in ten of those surveyed said their childhood favorite remained well into adulthood, their top candy bars.
Two-thirds said milk chocolate was the best, one in five preferred dark and one in ten rated white as the tastiest.
Nottingham residents were cited as the biggest chocoholics, with 22% admitting this was their weakness, followed by Bristol at 21% and Sheffield and Liverpool at 20%.
Mr Horsley added: “We were surprised to see how much the nation still loves a candy bar and that the classic dairy milk is still the nation’s favourite.”
