HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) – Police are responding to a shooting near the boardwalk in Hollywood, Florida.
Videos posted to Twitter Monday night showed emergency workers treating and assisting several injured people. It was not immediately clear how many people were injured and what condition they were in.
Police said there will be a heavy presence of officers while the investigation continues. Officials also set up an area for family members to gather.
Hollywood Beach is a popular beach destination about 17 kilometers south of Fort Lauderdale and 32 kilometers north of Miami.
