Actor Ezra Miller arrested for second time during trip to Hawaii

Ezra Miller was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of assault, the second time the actor known for playing the Flash in the Justice League films has been arrested in Hawaii in recent weeks.

Iller became furious after being asked to leave a meeting at a Big Island home and threw a chair, hitting a woman in the forehead, according to a press release from the Hawaii Police Department.

The woman was treated for a half-inch laceration on her forehead, police said.

Miller, described by police as a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont, was arrested during a traffic stop and released pending further investigation.

It’s unclear how Miller’s arrest affects a charge related to the actor’s arrest last month at a Big Island karaoke bar. Miller has been charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after police said the actor grabbed a microphone from a singing woman and lunged at a man playing darts.

Miller was upset by a performance of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ballad Shallow, Hawaii Deputy Police Commissioner Kenneth Quiocho said.

Miller was also due to be charged in a separate traffic case on Tuesday. Police were called to a fight in downtown Hilo last month in which Miller was uncooperative, refusing to leave the area and blocking a sidewalk, Quiocho said.

Miller’s attorney did not immediately return a message seeking comment on the recent arrest.

Attorney Francis Alcain had requested that Tuesday’s court hearing, which was previously scheduled for next week, be brought forward. Alcain said in a court filing that his client “has various time-sensitive work commitments in California and/or New York” and requires an earlier hearing “to resolve this matter.” Actor Ezra Miller arrested for second time during trip to Hawaii
