Adam Lallana says Brighton have an exciting future

Adam Lallana has resonated with players and fans alike with his outlook on an exciting future for Albion.

A message of thanks to former head coach Graham Potter and optimism for what lies ahead for the Seagulls was “liked” by nearly 30,000 people this morning.

Lallana says he is “so excited” about the future at the club and praises the long-term project.

Albion are on the hunt for a new head coach and support team after Potter and five colleagues joined Chelsea last week.

Lallana was part of the transition organization at Albion led by Andrew Crofts.

Former Albion striker Glenn Murray applauded Lallana’s words, which were also “liked” by several current players and Marc Cucurella, the former Seagulls star who is now at Chelsea.

Albion’s next game is at Lallana’s previous club Liverpool on October 1.

In his Instagram post, Lallana wrote: “While it is disappointing to see Graham and his backroom staff leave, it is important to recognize the contribution they have made to this football club. He leaves us in a better position than when he arrived, not only in the table but with a squad full of exciting young talent. I expect they will be a huge success at Chelsea for many years to come and I wish them the best of luck ahead of their first game tonight.

“I’m so excited for what’s next at #BHAFC, there’s a long-term project with a culture of continuous improvement.”
