Adam Webster assesses Brighton’s form so far

The Seagulls have seven points from three games ahead of today’s visit from Leeds, who are also off to a good start.

Defender Webster said: “Obviously it’s not a perfect start but it’s a really good start that we can continue to build on.

“I think (last Sunday at West Ham) showed we weren’t quite at our best but I still think it’s a good performance.

“There were times in the game, similar to Newcastle in the first half, where we probably turned the ball too quickly.

“I would say we were in control for most of the game but there is still but we can improve.

“Try to achieve that perfect performance, almost.”

Albion have conceded only one goal and generally denied opponents the game.

Webster said, “It depends on how the gaffer sets us up.

“We all know our role and responsibility.

“I feel like you can definitely see that when we’ve played against teams that maybe don’t know as much about how they’re actually going to play as we do.

“We can exploit their weaknesses because we know exactly where we want to be at any moment and how we want to build up, how we want to press.

“Every little detail is thought of and for us as players it just gives us the best opportunity to perform well.” Adam Webster assesses Brighton’s form so far
