Adam Webster assesses the threat posed by Cristiano Ronaldo

Adam Webster has shown Albion are ready to take on one of the world’s top scorers.

He was amazed at how they handled Manchester United, with and without Cristiano Ronaldo, in their 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese legend came on as a substitute early in the second half after a disrupted pre-season.

He lifted the crowd but couldn’t help United salvage a point – Webster blocked his only shot on goal.

The Albion No. 4 said: “We were pretty sure he wasn’t going to start, but eventually he would always come.

“When he did it you have to be as alive in and around the box and try to stop their crosses and get contact into the box because obviously he’s one of the best scorers that has ever done that.

“We knew we had to really focus and try to stop his threat.” Adam Webster assesses the threat posed by Cristiano Ronaldo
