But the couple decided to split in the summer of 2019, confessing that the marriage had been over for a while.

Adam previously called his time on I’m a Celebrity a “fresh start” and now he’s expanded further on starring in the hit ITV series.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, the actor said the experience has given him a “good world” and added that he’s happy to do it all over again.

“It was just an escape from reality,” he said, “You left the world behind. It was peace and quiet. There wasn’t anything they threw at me that I couldn’t do. okay. I love it.”

His campmate Richard Madeley – who is hosting the breakfast show on ITV with Susanna Reid – asked if Adam had ever thought about moving back to Gwrych Castle in Wales.

“I’ll be back there next week if I can,” he declared.

When he left camp just days before the I’m a Celebrity finale, Adam was emotional as he reflected on the “fresh start” the series had offered him with hosts Ant and Dec.

When the TV doubles favorite asked if the star’s spell on the show would keep him going after his divorce, he began: “A little bit. I see it as…”

Then, trying to hold back his tears, he paused before adding: “Oh, I get you, asshole.”

Adam pulled back and continued, “I looked at it like it was going to be a new beginning. There’s a lot going on. Mentally, I’ve sorted myself. To the right place, that’s it. why I love it so much”.

The Easties fan later confessed that he was initially nervous about appearing on I’m a Celebrity.

“I spent 36 years with a script,” he said, before talking about his campmate Simon Gregson – Steve McDonald of Coronation Street.

“I’m not like Simon. He’s naturally funny, I need someone to play with, that’s Simon. We’ve known each other from before and that helped – but everyone was amazing.”
