Adele Roberts shares how her cancer diagnosis affected her fiancée

Adele Roberts was diagnosed with stomach cancer last October and has praised her partner Kate Holderness for helping her since.

BBC Radio 1’s DJ Adele Roberts has revealed that a stomach cancer diagnosis has brought her closer to fiancee Kate Holderness.
The presenter, 43, announced in October that she had to undergo treatment and surgery to remove the tumor.
She is currently using a tracheal bag, which attaches to her abdomen and collects her stool, while she also has chemotherapy.
Talking to Hi! magazine“It sounds strange, but it brought us closer than ever,” she said.
“I’ve always loved Kate but since her diagnosis I’ve seen a different side of her. She’s my mentor, my mentor and the best nurse ever. .
“She helped me when I couldn’t walk and had to shuffle into work at Radio 1. She was my absolute hero.”
In response, Kate added: “I’ve always been a shy person, but Adele’s illness has awakened a strength in me that I never knew I had.”
Adele was informed of her diagnosis on October 1 of last year.

Talking about the day she was diagnosed, she continued: “After the CT scan, the doctor gave me bad news. My first question was: ‘I’m dying – and is it my fault?’
“I feel bad for putting Kate and her family through it, but now I know it’s nobody’s fault it’s cancer, and the sad thing is it’s going to happen to either of us. .”
Kate added: “I was devastated. But I held back my tears because I didn’t want my mother to think I wouldn’t hit him.
“So I went into reality mode, writing down everything the doctor said.”
Last month, Adele admitted she was “looking forward” to her partner Kate now. She also shared about podcast host Dame Deborah James, who recently revealed she is in hospice care after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016.
She told Naga Munchetty on BBC Radio 5 Live: “It hit me really hard.

“I feel a bit selfish saying it because it’s not about me. It’s about Deborah.
“The sad reality of what she’s going through, but then seeing how strong she is and giving back to people in a time of need. (I) don’t know how she does it. She And it’s just that I’m excited to see that journey unfold.”
