Adjust your tray tables as the series’ flight routes to Netflix

The teaser reviews some of the basics of “Manifest,” with Montego Air flight 828 being met at the airport by NSA director Robert Vance (Robert Edwards, back for season 4), who tells passengers, ” You’ve all been missing for five and a half years. Today is November 4th…”

In the program timeline, Flight 828 left New York on April 7, 2013 and experienced the world’s longest landing delay, touching back there on November 4, 2018 (one day we meet again with the flight status, “It’s now November 4th.”) Two of the passengers on that plane were siblings Michaela and Ben Stone (Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas), along with the other characters of the show, found that it’s not always easy to reintegrate into a changed world from their supposed death.

In June, we saw a clip of “Manifest” season 4 with Michaela under the guise of an NYPD detective investigating a construction site. This teaser alludes to precognitive powers that passengers develop upon their return, leading some to believe they are receiving a “calling” from a divine consciousness.

Not much is new here; it’s about resetting the show’s story as it finds a new home on Netflix. The teaser doesn’t mention it, but as we’ve previously reported and as many other studios have confirmed, “Manifest” season 4 is expected to be split into two parts, just like Netflix’s fourth season.” Ozark” and “Stranger Things.”

“Manifest” is taking its final step with the premiere of season 4 on November 4, 2022. Adjust your tray tables as the series’ flight routes to Netflix
