Chloe, from the UK, visits abandoned buildings around the country to learn more about the people who once lived and worked in them – but there’s one rule she’ll always stick to

An urban explorer who visits abandoned buildings above and below the country has revealed some of her strange discoveries during her travels.
Chloe, who posts photos and videos of her adventures on her social media account, has been exploring structures such as houses, churches and community centers since 2016.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “What gets me excited about exploring abandoned places is coming across YouTube videos of people going into abandoned hospitals.”
She added that, in particular, she was intrigued by influencer Joe Weller’s trip to an abandoned psychiatric unit in Hellingly, East Sussex, and wanted to get in on the action herself.

Chloe says she finds something different on each visit, and she tries her best to incorporate the type of building she explores.
“The most common things I find in these places are old singer sewing machines, pianos and old photographs,” she said.
On her TikTok channel, @Chloeurbex, Chloe posts videos of the buildings she’s wandered through – showing hallways full of cobwebs, rusted appliances and old cars with weeds grow inside them.
But while many of the buildings are clearly old and neglected, much of the furnishings are eerily intact and unspoiled – and Chloe reckons you can learn a lot about the people who lived. and work in the buildings before they are abandoned.
“If it’s a house, and if the remaining items [behind] you can see what work they did (uniforms, documents), who lives there and sometimes their families, and can even see what pornography they watched,” she explains. .
Throughout her years of exploration, Chloe admits she’s had a lot of surprises – both good and bad – but insists she never feels scared walking around the spooky buildings.
Technically, Chloe’s hobby is trespassing, and she was even chased by police on one of her adventures – but claims she let it go when police realized she was “just is a nosy.”
One of her most viral videos on TikTok shows her adventures around an abandoned recreation center, where she walks around a completely empty pool, climbing over the soft play area. and even take advantage of the waterslides.
Despite hundreds of thousands of views on her videos, Chloe doesn’t reveal the addresses of the places she’s visited – and she explains why in one video.
“The wrong people hold them and they don’t respect the place,” she said.
