A 23-year-old woman who lives in a restored castle with her fiancé, 33 years her senior, says she doesn’t blame people if they think she’s just after his money.
Allana Luke and Jeff Winn, 56, have been inseparable since their second date in Marbella in October 2020.
Shortly thereafter, Allana moved into the 11-room chateau of the owner of the law firm in Jesmond, Newcastle.
The couple, who got engaged on June 2, are enjoying the finer things in life but Allana insists she isn’t with him for money and has even proposed a prenup.
Allana, Jeff’s personal assistant, said: “There’s no denying that Jeff looks a lot older than me, which can make people roll their eyes when they see us.
“They automatically assume I’m just another girlfriend after his money.

“I don’t blame them, that would be my first thought too.
“But once they get to know us, they know we’re a good match. We have the same jokes and we always laugh.”
She said she is not ashamed to show her affection for him in public and would always hold his hand as she was proud they were together.
“He may be older, but he’s definitely young at heart,” she said.
“He used to party more than I did, but I’m a pet bird so he’s definitely settled down now that we’ve settled in.”
Despite the age difference and different backgrounds, the couple hit it off immediately.
She said: “Initially I decided to increase the age range on my Tinder because I was fed up with immature men my age. I set it to 25 to 60 years and the next day I matched Jeff.
“Jeff’s profile made me stop as his photo was one of him standing in front of his castle. I would be lying if I didn’t say wow to the house.
“His bio said he had just finished the restoration so I thought it would be a good story to tell friends even if it didn’t work out.

“We hit it off right away and the next week I went to his castle and it didn’t even feel like he was older.
“He made a wonderful venison stew and we had a bottle of champagne.
“He is so easygoing and fun – I agreed to go to Marbella with him the following week as I had just quit my job as a travel agent.”
During the 17 day trip, Allana celebrated her 22nd birthday in October 2020 and Jeff bought her a pair of diamond earrings.
Upon her return, she moved into the castle to self-isolate with Jeff and his daughter Nina, 23, and son Josh, 21.
She said: “Since meeting, we’ve only spent three days apart and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The castle they call home has a full-time cleaner, three gardeners for the two acres of land, an estate manager and a bartender.
It also has 15 bathrooms, a movie theater and a hot tub for the couple to relax in.

Allana said: “I don’t come from a wealthy family and I grew up in a council house so the castle is still a shock to this day.
“I joked with Jeff that we should just go for a one bedroom apartment as it’s quite a big place.
“I’d still be with him even if he lost that house and went bankrupt, but I guess that’s something I can’t prove unless it happens.
“He says if I lost all my looks tomorrow, he’d still be with me!”
In less than two years, Allana was knocked off her feet by the father of two.
For ten weeks she has been spoiled with an Audi TT, Rolex, designer handbags and trips abroad to Barbados and Thailand.
She said: “Jeff is so kind and loves his family, he’s so down to earth.
“He is so generous and loves to make everyone around him happy. We love to travel and spent ten weeks in Thailand.
“We can’t wait to see the world together.
“Jeff is so grounded and it’s amazing to see.
“I recently introduced him to B&M bargains and he loved it.”

Allana shares her story to normalize age differences.
She said: “I want people to realize that it’s okay to be in an age gap relationship – there are people out there who are embarrassed to post their partner who is older, so they don’t do it.
“We shouldn’t have to hide the love of our lives because we’re afraid of being judged.
“On social media it might seem like I’m dating Jeff for materialistic things, but when people see us in person they can see that we’re so natural.
“It’s okay and there’s nothing weird about an age gap relationship.
“The stigma might be removed a little bit now that we’re engaged — it’s so much more than an affair.”
Jeff said: “For many years I’ve been a bit of a naughty boy and dated a lot.
“I’ve been looking for someone beautiful inside and out. I found that in Allana and knew right away that it was more than an affair.
“I’ve dated younger women in their 20s before and my family didn’t approve of it. But they all love Allana because they can see how she has positively impacted my life.
“I’m so much more relaxed than I used to be.
“I’m quite well known in Newcastle and a lot of young men look up to me, they often give me high fives and compliments when we’re out together.
“But we get stares when Allana is all dressed up like that – they’re just jealous.”
