AJ Odudu reveals premiere date for 20th series of serious prom drama

The new series of Serious Dancing Game will begin September 17, former contestant and TV presenter AJ Odudu announced.

The 34-year-old, who was forced to withdraw from last year’s dance competition final after tearing a ligament, revealed the news on The Big Breakfast alongside co-host Mo Gilligan.

She said: “We have the exclusive right that the launch of Serious to Dancing 2022 will take place on September 17. It’s exciting.”

Professional dancer Johannes Radebe, who was a guest on Channel 4’s Saturday morning show, said: “It’s exciting, others are waiting for it, we know we can’t face the season. crowded without being strict so I’m glad it’s back on screen. “

The premiere show is expected to reveal which professional dancers will pair up with each famous contestant.

The BBC’s premier entertainment series will feature 15 contestants including TV presenter Helen Skelton, EastEnders actor James Bye, singer Fleur East and former England footballer Tony Adams .

Ted Lasso actress Ellie Taylor will also take to the ring, along with Paralympic swimming gold medalist Ellie Simmonds, actor Will Mellor, Loose Women star Kaye Adams and Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh.

Bros singer Matt Goss, Kiss Tyler West radio host Molly Rainford, Britain’s Got Talent finalist, comedian and actor Jayde Adams, Radio 2’s Richie Anderson and Wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin program completes the 2022 list.

Chief judge Shirley Ballas will return for the BBC’s 20th series alongside Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
