Alan Partridge took aim at Piers Morgan during his BAFTAs speech, as he presented the award in a pre-recorded clip that was played to the stars gathering on Sunday.
Alan staged the coveted BAFTA while speaking in front of the camera and aiming to privatize Channel 4 as well as the former Good Morning Britain presenter, who succeeded with his new show Uncensored on TalkTV led by Rupert Murdoch backing.
Appearing in the pre-recorded clip as clumsy host Alan Partridge, Steve Coogan said: “Sadly, I can’t be with you because I’m on tour nationally, performing for a larger audience than Piers Morgan on reality TV. But the good thing for Piers is that it doesn’t bother him.”
This comes after Piers suffered a setback when ratings for his new TalkTV show plummeted after just one week.
The former Good Morning Britain host has maintained her divisive new show – Piers Morgan: Uncensored – since TalkTV launched on 25 April this year.

The premiere night kicked off with a bang for the channel’s flagship program when Morgan interviewed former US president Donald Trump, which aired during its opening two nights.
The first episode had 316,800 viewers following the pre-recorded explosive chat but that number dropped to an average of 61,700 seven days later (Monday May 2).
Despite an 80% drop in viewership, Piers Morgan: Uncensored still beat GB News and Sky News in the space of an hour.

And Morgan remains confident of the ratings as he tweeted to his 7.9 million followers on Wednesday: “Great to see Uncensored have a higher rating than BBC News, Sky News & GB News over the span of time. Our 8-9pm last night.
“Incredible achievement for a brand new show on a brand new network. Much work to do, but very encouraging. Catch it at 8pm tonight!”
One user responded to his tweet, saying: “This is for entertainment though, very few people want to watch a news program at 8-9 especially when it clashes with football games. big stone.

“A small percentage of the total views will be people watching the show at the time.”
Another added: “I wish we could watch Piers but we only have Freeview and can’t load channel 237 for some reason. Any ideas?
“We have Britbox, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc but can’t find you on any of them.”
A third person said: “The average audience last night was 76,600 viewers with 4,700 streams on YouTube. The only reason you beat other news channels is because no one watched them.”

Piers tried to stem the flow of leaving viewers with interesting guests, including world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury in his first interview since successfully defending his belt against Dillian Whyte.
Other stars such as Caitlyn Jenner, Sharon Osbourne, Jeremy Kyle and Boris Becker’s estranged wife Lilly have also appeared on the show but the channel is still struggling to rein in viewers.
