Lord Alan Sugar is notoriously cutthroat when it comes to dealing with contestants at The Apprentice.
But it seems his ferocity isn’t spared on the winners either, as he appears to have clipped another of his chosen winners.
Just weeks after hiring new entrepreneur and this season’s winner, Harpreet Kaur, Lord Sugar is said to have parted ways with 2018 winner Sian Gabbidon.
The business mogul is reportedly no longer a director of Sian’s beach and loungewear company, Sian Marie Fashion.
His company Amvest Limited had invested the usual £250,000 when Sian was crowned and reportedly had “significant control” over their business.
But last month Lord Sugar’s position at the company was “ended”, while his investment company, Amvest Limited, was also said to have been removed The sun.
The Mirror has contacted a Lord Sugar representative for comment.
Sian is believed to be the latest star to be dropped in a long line of previous BBC show winners.
Other truncated winners include Joseph Valente from the 2015 series, Alana Spencer from the 2016 series, and 2017 winner James White.
The shock came just weeks after Lord Sugar crowned Harpreet Kaur the winner of this year’s series.
She impressed Lord Sugar with her company Oh So Yum!, which offers baked goods to order online and in stores.
Only Kathryn stood in her way as the two ladies battled it out in the final to gain the upper hand.
But ultimately, Harpreet Sugar and his panel won.
Speaking of her victory when the news broke, the contestant couldn’t believe it but said it was a “dream come true”.
She explained: “I can’t believe Lord Sugar chose me as his business partner!
“I dreamed of this moment and it just proves that dreams come true when you work hard and believe in yourself.”
The Apprentice is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
