Alec Baldwin was spotted just before the Rust shooting when police released footage from the set

Alec Baldwin rehearses deadly scene on Rust set

Alec Baldwin is seen on the set of Rust just before the fatal shooting after police released unseen footage from the film set.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, was fatally shot by a gun the actor was holding while he was rehearsing a scene for the western in the horrific incident last October.

In one of the clips released by the Santa Fe Police Department, the 64-year-old can be seen dressed as a cowboy in a church, practicing with a gun, drawing the gun and aiming it off-camera while rehearsing a scene.

Other disturbing footage includes bodycam footage showing paramedics struggling to save Halyna after the shooting that also injured director Joel Souza.

Police footage also shows officers speaking to Alec after the incident, as the actor denied knowing there was live ammunition on the film set.

The clips also show a discussion between police and director Joel, who spoke to them at the hospital and told officers he heard a “loud bang”.

“It felt like someone kicked me in the shoulder – and then I was on my butt,” he explained.

“Then I looked over and saw the camerawoman with blood running down her back.”

Santa Fe Sheriff Adan Mendoza also released photos from the crime scene and interviews with witnesses, including Alec.

The actor, who also served as the film’s producer, denied pulling the trigger and insisted he had no idea who a live bullet on set was.

In a statement from the Santa Fe Sheriff, he said the investigation was “open and ongoing.”

He added that there are still outstanding issues in the investigation, such as the forensic examination of firearms and the analysis of Alec’s phone.

“Once these investigative components are provided to the sheriff’s office, we can complete the investigation and forward it to the Santa Fe District Attorney for review,” Sheriff Mendoza said.

Authorities have so far refused to rule out criminal charges over the incident.
