West End star Alexandra Burke has revealed plans to return to work just ten weeks after she gave birth to her first child ‘anytime’
Alexandra Burke has outlined her intention to return to work just 10 weeks after giving birth.
The heavily pregnant X Factor winner plans to take minimal maternity leave to rejoin the production of the touring film Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in September.
The 33-year-old and her partner – West Ham United’s Irish goalkeeper Darren Randolph – are expecting their new arrival to be imminent.
The couple met last May before Alexandra revealed she was pregnant nine months later.
“I know two months doesn’t seem like a lot of maternity leave but I think it suits me. The baby will always come first but I feel like anything is possible with planning,” she told. Sun.
“I love what I do, I love singing. I’m confident I can make it all work. I know people who take the year off and that’s amazing, but we’re all different and That’s not what I want to do.
The star only completed eight shows a week as the narrator of ‘Joseph’ before finally taking time off.
“I was lucky enough to keep working until just over a month ago. Obviously I don’t do as much as I used to, but I love what I do and I can continue. I love my job. myself and I always want to keep doing as much as we can,” she added.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Alexandra and Darren enjoyed a lavish fairy bath with family and friends.
Taking to Instagram, the couple shared photos of the festival, in which Alexandra looked stunning in a long white dress.
Standing in front of an elegant pastel-colored flower bed, the female singer caressed when her proud partner stood beside her.
They also posed in front of a baby-themed three-tier cake, behind what looked like the curtains of a purse.
Posting more photos for her Story, the West End star put on an impressive Krispy Kreme donut display and a table full of food.
Alexandra summed up the day, posting: “So much love in our one little room. This weekend’s baby shower was special.
“We still smile just thinking about it Our kids don’t know how loved they will be. We can’t wait to see you… It won’t be long! #Nesting.”
