All announced in the Nintendo Direct

Nintendo’s highly anticipated February 2023 Showcase is over, and we now have a much clearer idea of ​​what’s coming to Switch in the first half of this year. Nintendo Direct has packed a lot into its 40-minute run, including some really fantastic revelations. We’ve got Zelda galore, a sprinkling of Pikmin 4, a bowl of Bayonetta, and more than a few surprises. Here are all the announcements, trailers and news that Nintendo offers to the gaming world. Nintendo Direct kicked off with a trailer for Pikmin 4 that looks as pretty and cute as one could hope for. The big news is the release date: July 21, 2023!

Next up is a trailer for Volume 3 of the Xenoblade Chronices 3 Expansion Pass, due out later this month, and a sneak peek at the new story scenario coming in Volume 4 later this year.


Onward to a brand new Samba de Amigo game from Sega! Samba de Amigo: Party Central is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer.

Nintendo Direct then announced Fashion Dreamer from Marvelous Entertainment. It should be out sometime this year.

Next we have a release date for the Dead Cells Return to Castlevania DLC on March 6th.


Tron: Identity by Bithell Games is coming to Nintendo Switch this April. Here’s the trailer:


Capcom’s Ghost Trick crime series returns with a remaster of the first game. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be released this summer.

As expected, Nintendo Direct featured more of Platinum’s Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. It will be released on March 17th.


Splatoon 3 times! The Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass is a paid DLC that includes two waves of content. The first wave includes Inkopolis and will start this spring. Wave 2, called Side Order, starts sometime later. Here’s the trailer:

Next up was Disney Illusion Island, a lovely looking platformer starring Mickey Mouse and co. It launches on Nintendo Switch on July 28th.

Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Pack 2 has its time to shine in the Nintendo Direct. It’s out now! The trailer also teased Pack 3 and 4.


Here’s a surprise: a brand new game from Life is Strange developer Don’t Nod. It’s called Harmony: The Fall of Reverie and is due out this June.


Octopath Traveler 2 is just around the corner. A demo showing the game’s opening hours is now available.


Bandai Namco announced We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie, set for release on June 2nd.


Sabotage Studio’s turn-based retro RPG Sea of ​​Stars is out on August 29th.
