More than four in ten British women admit that they can NEVER find a pair of jeans that fit.
A study of 2,000 women found that six pairs would be missed during a denim shopping trip, because they were too long, too short, too wide on the thighs, or too loose at the waist.
Other problems commonly encountered include wide bottoms on tight jeans, uneven pockets, and protruding waistbands – adding unwanted inches.
And just over two-thirds have a closet full of jeans, yet find themselves wearing the same one over and over.
Up to 74% feel shopping for denim makes you uncomfortable and 46% think it is the most difficult item to buy in clothing categories.
This is because it can be difficult to get the perfect fit and the fact that there are so many different styles and colors available.

But two-thirds of the respondents believe that jeans are the most important piece of an outfit to fit perfectly.
A spokesperson for high-fashion brand ME+EM said: “Despite being one of the most important staples in our wardrobe, finding the perfect pair of jeans can feel overwhelming. seems like an almost impossible task.
“The amount of time it takes to scour the rails or the web for different cuts, washes, and fabrics can be overwhelming, not to mention actually trying on multiple pairs in hopes of striking gold.
“It was this denim dilemma that made us determined to create the perfect range of jeans – using clever design to give busy women the perfect fit.”
On average, women spend just four minutes deciding what to wear each day, with 63% wanting to wear chic-looking clothes easily – so it’s no surprise that jeans are a staple. 85% in the wardrobe.
Research also shows that the average woman has up to three pairs in their wardrobe that they never wear, due to imperfect fit.
But once they find the perfect pair, they tend to stay in love for six and a half years.
And eight out of 10 women polled (78%) would be happy to spend more money on a pair of jeans they know will fit and last.
Good quality fabric, good hold, and a pair that accentuates the figure are the top things that ladies look for.
And women turn to friends, family and influencers when hunting for the perfect match, while nearly a third consider prior experience, according to OnePoll research.
A spokesperson for ME+EM added: “Our design team spent months honing the smallest detail, solving all of the classic problems women face when buying jeans and have use their technical expertise to find solutions.”
