Sherlock star Amanda Abbington feared she woke Whitney Houston’s spirit as she stayed in the hotel suite where the star died.
The actress, who says she lives happily alongside two ghosts at home, was afraid Whitney would show up while staying at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA, where the singer drowned in the bathtub in 2012.
A maid told Amanda that she stayed in the exact room Whitney died in, but that it had been “refreshed,” with all the furniture replaced.
Despite this, Safe star Amanda began to feel Whitney’s presence during their four-day stay.
She says: “I wanted to ‘please don’t show up’. Don’t stand over me and sing I’ll always love you.’ It was really scary.”

But it wasn’t Amanda’s first paranormal encounter.
The actress has two children with her ex-husband Martin Freeman, and when their daughter Grace was a toddler, she befriended an imaginary eight-year-old girl named Amy in her backyard.
To her shock, a psychic later told Amanda that an eight-year-old spirit named Amy lived in her home, along with an elderly lady who lived in the dining room.
Amanda told Alan Carr on his Life’s A Beach podcast, “My blood ran cold.”
But not only was she terrified, she also showed that she was fascinated by the supernatural. She said: “I love it.”
As long as they don’t serenade her.
