Amanda Holden is terrified during a Britain’s Got Talent audition when she’s tricked into helping an ‘invisible act’ perform her illusions.
In a teaser clip ahead of Saturday’s show, the judge is told by the band known as The Phantom to take the stage and sit in a chair as she exclaims, “It’s always me.”
After the ITV talent show was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will return to screens this weekend with a double bill on Saturday and Sunday, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
As Holden takes a seat, a side table with a crate and a red balloon on it rolls towards them.
The voice says, “Amanda, please hold the balloon by the stick. Balloons are the first thing we all learn to lose.
“Like the kid who lost that balloon this morning. They thought it was a gust of wind, it wasn’t, it was me. I stole it to teach as a lesson in loss.”
Holden seems troubled by the sinister comments while his colleague Alesha Dixon looks on with concern just before the balloon seems to pop on its own.
The invisible act adds: “You might think popping a balloon like that was pretty mean, but losing things is an important part of life. I’ll show you what I mean.”

They then direct Holden to the box on the table, which they say is the theater’s treasure chest.
She is asked to take an item from the box and place it under a cloth, while adding, “Being invisible means I cannot have any material possessions of my own.”
The rest of the audition will be broadcast on the launch of Britain’s Got Talent tonight and continues on Sunday at 19.35 on ITV and the ITV Hub.
Holden will be joined by the other judges – Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Dixon – as the ITV talent show returns.
