One reason Amazon’s great success with its tablets, smart devices, doorbells, lights, and other gadgets is that they’re generally very affordable.

Especially during busy promotional periods when you’ll see some absolutely amazing savings – and that includes the current sale where devices are on sale at super cheap prices.

Don’t think you need to shell out hundreds on an iPad if you’re looking for a tablet that’s primarily for streaming, surfing, or reading email – a Fire tablet will do the trick.

We weren’t completely sold on by Amazon’s range of screen-based Echos when they first launched a couple of years ago – but they’ve proven to be a vital addition to many people’s kitchen counters.

You can use them to stream Prime, Netflix and YouTube, but of course they’re great for voice calls with an Alexa command – and of course you can connect them to your Ring doorbell so you know who’s at the door.

4. Kindle, £49.99 (save £20)

For a tablet primarily intended for reading e-books, Kindles are worth looking into as their screens are primarily designed for reading lines of words.

The standard 6-inch Kindle has been reduced by nearly 30% and is now just £49.99.

However, if you’re a dedicated reader, it might be worth investing more in the Kindle Paperwhite or Paperwhite Signature Edition – they have more internal storage and higher-resolution displays.
