Amazon Prime Day 2022 Xbox deals: Here’s what to expect

Amazon Prime Day is coming up very soon, so it’s time to prepare for what we can expect to see on sale during this year’s event. That means discounts on plenty of games and accessories, and a potential console deal or two.

Prime Day Xbox Series X and S Stock

Unlike the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X has been slowly recovering in terms of stock availability. In the UK, Microsoft’s flagship console has been in stock on Amazon for a few weeks. With stock available during last year’s Prime Day and other events like Black Friday, we can expect it to be a little easier to shop at this online giant.

In the US, supplies for the Xbox Series X were still sparse. We’re hoping the console shows up this Prime Day, but we’re not expecting any discounts. In the meantime, check out our Xbox Stock Checker page at Eurogamer for the latest Xbox stock updates.

The Xbox Series S has been available from most retailers since its launch. So, should you opt for a fully digital gaming future, you’ll be well served on Prime Day.

Since both consoles are fairly early in their lives, we don’t expect Amazon (or any retailer) to offer a discount unless an official one comes from Microsoft. However, Amazon has sweetened the Series X bundles before, pairing them with a game like Far Cry 6 for a price below the overall MSRP.

Prime Day Xbox Game Deals 2022

There were some pretty good deals on Xbox games last year, including popular titles like FIFA 21 and Watch Dogs Legion.

This year we can once again count on decent discounts on popular and smaller titles. Some of this year’s biggest titles so far, like Elden Ring and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, are still relatively new, so it will be interesting to see if these are also discounted, like titles releasing during the 2021 holiday season.

Prime Day Xbox controller deals

During special holidays and big sales events, the official Xbox wireless controller is often discounted by multiple retailers, including Amazon. The company also has the Elite controller on sale, so it’s not surprising to see Microsoft and third-party controllers being discounted again, making it an ideal time to pick up a second controller.

Prime Day Xbox headset deals

During last year’s Prime Day, many headsets were discounted. Amazon is pretty good at offering discounts on gaming headsets at different times of the year, but on Prime Day we can expect deeper discounts across broader product lines, so this is the perfect time to upgrade your headset and not have to use those cheap wired earbuds.
